SWW @ 10: Group records 25,000 mental health interventions, demands govt action

She Writes Woman (SWW) has disclosed that its 24/7 toll-free mental health helpline has recorded over 25,000 interventions and averted more than 200 potential suicides across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones in the last 10 years.

The organisation made the disclosure in Abuja on Saturday during a press briefing to mark its 10th anniversary, where it also called on the Nigerian government and relevant stakeholders to urgently strengthen mental health systems, expand access to care, and ensure the inclusion of persons with psychosocial disabilities in decision-making processes.
